This is an old country corner store counter from
a store in Georgetown De. Guy called us and told us a friend of ours
had it and wanted to get rid of it. For free!
So of course Kyle said yes but I said I would go with him to see if it would
be something we could use or just store. We tend to do that. And that I was not going to do.
Well we loved it, it was the right length and width we were looking for.
We had planned on putting a counter island in the kitchen this year, but
this looked like it would fit perfect.
I knew Kyle could work his magic and I had complete faith
that I would love what ever he had to do to it to make it work.
There was a lot of sanding, scrapping and fine tuning.
This was a longer counter that was cut in two. Kyle had to fix and
match up the cut end. He did a great job.
We decided to leave the end open.
I am still thinking of what to do with it. I have a few ideas
but I will think about it over breakfast while looking at it.
And waaalaaa!
It is beautiful!! It fits great, we have plenty of room and I am so excited about it!
