I decided to do a random blog. I went to my photos and picked a random picture, went to scan it and I couldn't get the scanner to work. So I did the next best thing. I went to my desk top and did the same with my on line photos. This is what I found. We call this "Big Ed". It is a butcher block/ slate all oak island Kyle made (it must weight 100 lbs). It took a while to build with many calls and visits to his dad. Kyles dad passed before he saw it completed. So we call it Big Ed. We were originally going to sell it but now we can't. This is an old picture in the old kitchen. Of course now the island is filled with pots, pans, baskets, bowls and veggies (plus a little dust). We really enjoy this little big island and look forward to it's use in our new longer kitchen!! By the way we put the back porch wood up, had inspections, we failed (no big deal) and are moving forward. Cabinets come Tuesday and hopefully we can start the dry wall then!. Next weekend we are off to Lynchburg U to watch our nephew Jason graduate. Busy month. Have a great Sunday.
