Things we saw on vacation this year!
These are called bag worms. They carry their house with them and will eat up a bush fast. Kim had these at the lake house. It is really interesting to watch them move. If you look close you can see the worm in the top of the cocoon.
This is a very friendly emu (he was use to being fed) . He was at Chincoteague where we camped.
as were the ducks and I think there is a shetlon pony in there. We did not see any of "Misty's" ancestors on the island beach this year. Not close enough for a camera anyways. For those of you out there that have ready the horse book Misty as a child Chincoteague is her home. The fire company has a pony auction every year for a fund raiser. It is some thing see but the crowds keep us away these days.
I believe this is a white egret. They are so graceful in motion.
And our friendly peacock that roamed the camp sites. This one had a little boy hurding him around.
Well I hope you enjoyed are little wild/bug life this summer. We certainly did. We are off to Chincoteague Island again labor day weekend. Can't wait. School starts back up for the teachers at the college tomorrow and the students come the following week. I can't believe Wade is a college boy!!

First of all..."ewwwww" to the worms, those little suckers look gross.
Second of all...are you sure you didn’t go to a petting zoo?!? How much wildlife was there on this camp ground...my word it’s a jungle
