After having a 2 week Christmas vacation it is time to go back to work.

The "party is over".

The first week we shopped and prepared for Christmas and

all its Glory. We celebrated Christ's birth and all it means.

The second week we played vacation. We did what we don't do in the summer time.

We went to the beach!

We started with a trip to Rehoboth Beach Delaware.

There was snow on the ground, it was windy and cold!

But the beach was empty and beautiful. This is the view north of Rehoboth.

The WWII war towers still stand. We use to be able to climb them in the 70's.

And off we went to our favorite place of all.

I don't know why we have not done this in the past.

We took our normal route to Chincoteague.

Rt 12.

This runs from rt 13 to the main road into the island.

You travel from Maryland to Virginia.

You could tell when you were in Virginia. The roads were terrible!

We crossed the new bridge on to the Island.

It is so much nicer now pulling the camper with the new bridge.

A seafood business that is closed for the season.

This was New Years Eve day.

We rode down in the sun and enjoyed the ride with lunch at a favorite rst.

Then we rode farther south to a dingy flea market we went to in Sept.

We had seen a top to a hutch we own and asked the price. The man did not know at the time so we took a chance and went back. What a bargain......$50!!!

This is another posting when Kyle gets it all refinished.

It is perfect!

And on to the night time.....

They went to a party together.

Who would have ever "thunk" it????






We girls went to moms.

I was playing with my camera and mom posed.

Later on (early in the evening) we had some fireworks. Pattie and Katie came down.

I planned on going to bed early but Pattie, Kyle and I sat around till

about 11. It was a very relaxing last night of the year.

FINALLY.........

With the flu hitting the Macklin's near and far

this Christmas.........

Brennan, Katie and Adam came to visit.

He is such a cutie!!!

He was enjoying teddy grahams, Mario on the tube, The

Christmas tree and santa.

Of course Walter was all in!!

Grandma was reading a story. It was a wonderful time

but way to short. I know how children are when they are around people they don't see a lot.

So I just sit back and wait for a smile for me.

He never fails:)

Maybe we can take him camping this summer??

A nice weekend at Trap Pond sounds good.

Right?

So off to work Kyle and I go tomorrow. Oh yeah Aron too.
