The last Return Day 2008 post. After we stood in the rain for 2 hours, went through the security checks and it kept raining we found a lawyers front porch on the circle to stand on. Katie is looking at her camera, Kyle is talking to a
politician and I was behind the camera. It rained so much I was affriad to pull it out to take pictures.
These are the police dogs. They were everywhere sniffing for bombs. I don't know how many people I saw walk up to them and think they could pet them without loosing a hand. All the parade entrys had to be sniffed and tagged for entry into the parade.
Thats the OX roast pit behind me and Pattie. They started cooking the OX Wedsnday night and usally have bands there playing. But of course it rained and it got canceled. First time I ever remember them cancelling that event. But it was really wet out to be plugging in electric!
These are two little boys that tried, I say tried to chase down the carriage with Biden in it. They were soon halted to a stop. Bless their hearts they were so scared when the SS guy called out "STOP!!!!! You can't go any farther!!! " They went sliding on the wet grass but have a great memory. Their parent were right there but could not stop them. The agent did though. It was so cute. Well I hope you all enjoyed these post. We are slowing down to our regular "Slower lower Delaware" life again. Next is Thanksgiving!!! Any takers on a Serman Thanksgiving? Place your reservations soon!!
