Here I sit pondering the big 5-0!! Yep I will hit it tomorrow with feet running. I don't know what the big hoop-la is all about as I have been doing this for the last 50 years. I am Planning on sitting outside on my porch (sounds old, but some of my favorite times are and were on the porch with mom and dad) , walking my dogs and what ever. Till now. They sprayed chicken poop on the field beside my house. How is that for turning 50 Happy Birthday to me!! So now there are no outdoor activities for a while. But my son Clay and his lovely fiance' are coming home to spend time with dear ole mom. As Aron, Wade and Kyle are. What shall we do?? I guess we could bowl. But seriously as long as I can breath and stay married to my younger man I will have a wonderful life!!

Here are some things I have learned, now remember who this is coming from and you will have a laugh.

Don't sweat the small stuff. Harder done than said. I know because I still do and find out God is in control for you when you can't be.

Love and be kind to all. Tell people you love them often.

Never go to bed mad.

Walk outside and enjoy the small things, like the birds. I love my birds, the rain, the snow.

Laugh, then laugh some more

Cry, it cleanses the soul.

Hug your children till they let go. Never be the first to let go.

Tell them you love them everyday. It warms your heart to hear those 4 words back. " I love you too"

Gather as a family at the dinner table everyday.

Love your man with all your heart.

Believe in something and have dreams. Mine was to be married and have children and God has blessed me with both.

Don't worry over a dirty house. Who needs that stress!

Take sometime to be alone with yourself.

OK I just hit a key and lost this whole post so I am going to stop! I laughed and cried!! I think you get the drift of things. I love you all and enjoy your chicken poop free weekend!!!! The 50's are going to be great!!

Love
Nora, wife, mom, aunt, friend
